TRIGG COUNTY, KY (KFVS) -

Transportation officials say a tractor-trailer crashed Thursday morning blocking Interstate 24 eastbound at the 70 mile marker in Trigg County, Ky.

It happened sometime after 2 a.m.

According to the state transportation spokesperson, the truck was loaded with frozen food. Traffic was backed up about three miles at the crash site.

A recovery crew was wating for the health inspector for the handling of the product and up-righting of the trailer.

I-24 eastbound was to be shut down for about 45 minutes to an hour to allow recovery of the truck late Thursday morning.

Drivers were asked to use a self-detour via US 68 and the Pennyrile Parkway.
