LIVINGSTON COUNTY, KY (KFVS) -

A body has been found in northern Livingston County near Berry's Ferry Landing on the Ohio River.

Kentucky State Police received a call of a body in the river near the bank around 10:12 a.m. Tuesday.

The body was identified as William A. Quertermous, 79, Paducah.

Quertermous was pronounced dead on the scene by Livingston County Deputy Coroner.

The initial investigation revealed that Quertermous slipped and fell into the water, according to KSP.

No foul play is suspected at this time.

Kentucky State Police and Kentucky Fish and Wildlife are on scene investigating.

KSP was assisted on the scene by the Livingston County Coroner’s Office, and the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife.
