LSU's Hill added to 2013 Maxwell Award watch list

LSU running back Jeremy Hill has been added to the 2013 Maxwell Award watch list.

The original lists were comprised of players who were selected based on their performances during the 2012 season. As the 2013 season has progressed, the Club added several players warranting attention because of their noteworthy play.

In five games this season Hill has carried the ball 79 times for 594 yards and nine touchdowns. He is averaging 7.5 yards per carry and his longest run of the year is 69 yards and resulted in a touchdown.

The Maxwell Award has been presented to the outstanding collegiate football player in America since 1937 and is named in honor of Robert W. "Tiny" Maxwell.

Semifinalists for the Maxwell Award will be announced on October 29th and three finalists for the award will be announced November 25th.

The winner of the 2013 Maxwell Award will be announced as part of the Home Depot College Football Awards Show which will be held on December 12th.
