Does it Work Wednesday
Schick Intuition Razor
By: Amy Jacquin

Those of you who have to shave your legs know how time-consuming it can be! So you'll be happy to hear about a new razor that may make your task easier. It's called the Schick Intuition.

The Southeast Sundancers are talented, beautiful, and flashy and obviously not afraid to show-off their legs! So we ask several of them to help us test the $5 Schick Intuition razor.

Makers promise no need for shaving gel or soap, saying it uses water to activate the "skin conditioning solid" bars. In other words, it works best when wet.

Since we're can't take the camera inside a shower, we improvise, using soaked towels to keep their legs and razor wet. But Ashley Coffey, Erin Bauer and Aimee Knebel all have the same reaction, "Well, ha, it's not perfect," laughs Ashley Coffey as she rubs her shin. "I can still tell there's a little stubble there. It took a little hair off, but I don't think it touches my skin very well."

"You have to press really hard," echoes Erin Bauer. "I don't feel like it's getting close."

"It doesn't feel like it's touching my leg!" Aimee Knebel agrees.

The skin conditioner is in the large white area around the pivoting blades. And when it's time to replace one, you have to replace both. The entire thing actually popped off when Aimee was using it, "Ha ha ! I guess I wouldn't buy it now!" she jokes.

Amy Jacquin also tried it in the shower, and had the same opinion. The lotion block prevented her from shaving as close as she'd like, and pushing so hard caused her to nick her knees twice.

"I'd rather use the extra products to get close," Erin summarizes. "This takes just as much time as using shaving cream, because you've got to go slow and press harder."

It's not the worst razor we ever used... But certainly not the best. The $5 Schick Intuition earns an average C.
