Albany State kicks off hoops season with Midnight Madness

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Thousands of students and fans were in attendance for Albany State's midnight madness event held late Sunday night.

The men's team will have their first practices on Tuesday before starting the season with an exhibition game against Darton College on November 2nd. Head coach Chris Cameron is happy that the team is inching closer to the season.

"It's an awesome feeling because its time to play ball now," Cameron said. "I feel pretty good. We brought in a really good recruiting class, we got some really good kids that have been working hard."

The women start the season Nov. 7th against Florida Tech.
