SPARTANBURG, SC (FOX Carolina) -

An Upstate man was charged after he attacked a group of people who were having a bonfire on Saturday, according to deputies.

In the report from the Spartanburg Co. Sheriff's Office, witnesses identified Logan West, 39, of Inman as the man who showed up to their bonfire and started attacking people with a machete.

Three people in all were attacked, according to deputies.

The report stated all three of the victims suffered lacerations - two had hand injuries, while a had a cut to his shoulder blade.

One of the victims also had his vehicle's back window busted in the incident.

A victim said West used to live at the house and he called his landlord to identify him, the report said.

Deputies said they haven't identified a specific motive or reason for the attack.

West is charged with three counts of second-degree assault and battery, one count of malicious injury to property and trespassing.

West was being held Monday night on $25,100 bond.
