LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – Three homes in the 600 block of East Ormsby Avenue went up in flames early Tuesday morning.

Fire crews remain on the scene and are getting the fire under control. Firefighters said the blaze started in one house and spread to at least two more, possibly three.

Ormsby Avenue is closed between Jackson Street and Hancock Street.

Our reporter on the scene said residents of those houses and others nearby are out on the street. A woman who fled one of the burning buildings said at least one of her neighbors was taken to the hospital.
