HERRIN, IL (KFVS) -

Ninety-five years ago was the last time the Boston Red Sox won the World Series at Fenway Park, not many people can say they were around to see it.

But one Cardinal fan that was, said she doesn't want to see history repeat itself.

Down the hall and to your left, you'll find Ruth Blackburn, or you might hear her first.

At age 103, Ruth said she still never misses a game, and she been around to see a lot of them.

"I just have always wanted to watch and learn all I could about the new players and all," she said.

Of course back then she could only listen to games on the radio, but has since upgraded to surround sound and color TV.

"I love to watch when they cheer and do the white things," she said.

"She gets very enthusiastic when her family comes to visit her and her tenure; her voice is just full of excitement," said her daughter Jaye Ann, Ruth's daughter.

So much excitement, she celebrated the only way she could imagine, at the ballpark.

Ruth has been alive for all 11 Cardinals World Series wins. This year she hopes they make it 12 in 2013.

"I want them to win tonight, and if they have to do another one, win that one too," Ruth said.
