Marion man facing burglary charges

HERRIN, IL (KFVS) -

A Marion, Illinois man is facing burglary charges according to police.

According to Herrin Police, several law enforcement agencies working covertly caught James E. Dwyer, 36, of Marion, breaking into a home in the 200 block of S. 21st Street in Herrin on Friday evening around 8:30 p.m.

Police say Dwyer is believed to be responsible for a number of home burglaries in the Herrin and Marion areas.

Charges of residential burglary are pending. Dwyer was booked into the Williamson County Jail, awaiting a court date.
