Road closures scheduled for downtown Nashville for CMA Awards

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

You will see some traffic changes in downtown Nashville Wednesday as crews prep for the CMA Awards.

The awards show at the Bridgestone Arena starts at 7 p.m.

All of the following closures start at 6 a.m.:

  • Sixth Avenue South: Closed between Korean Veterans Boulevard and Demonbreun Street
  • Fifth Avenue South: Closed between Korean Veterans Boulevard and Demonbreun Street
  • Fourth Avenue southbound curb lane: Closed between Broadway and Demonbreun Street
  • Demonbreun Street: Closed between Fifth and Fourth avenues South and Eighth and Sixth avenues South
  • Seventh Avenue South: Closed between Demonbreun Street and Broadway
  • McGavock Pike: Closed between Eighth and Seventh avenues South

The northside lane of Demonbreun Street will be closed between Fourth and Fifth Avenues South starting at 8 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

    The Cape Girardeau Veterans Home will receive $8.7 million through a U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs grant program for renovation and construction projects.
