Don't worry. We'll be a lot nicer to the players in the SEC than the Emmy voters were to Netflix. We kind of have to - it's highly unlikely an actor could power clean the equivalent of a human being.

ATHENS, GA - Aaron Murray became the SEC's career leader in touchdown passes, making for an even happier homecoming for Georgia in its 45-6 win over Appalachian State.

Murray's two scoring tosses gave him 115 for his career. He went 19-for-26 for 281 yards touchdowns to lead the Georgia offense through the air. Rantavious Wooten was his top target, finishing with 104 yards and one touchdowns on four receptions. Todd Gurley was Georgia's leading rushing, picking up 75 yards on 13 carries and a score. Hutson Mason went 11-for-16 for 160 yards and one touchdown in relief of Murray.

Ramik Wilson led the Georgia defense, finishing with 12 tackles.

Appalachian State struck first, going 62 yards on the opening drive before kicking a 33-yard field goal to take an early 3-0 lead.

Georgia responded quickly with a six-play, 72-yard drive to go up 7-3 after a 35-yard touchdown strike from Murray to Wooten.

The Mountaineers made it a 7-6 game with more than two minutes left in the first half on a 49-yard field goal.

After a Georgia turnover near midfield, the Mountaineers looked to take the lead, but Jordan Jenkins blocked the field goal try.

The Bulldogs answered on the next drive, marching 68 yards to go up 14-6. The drive ended on Michael Bennett's 23-yard touchdown grab from Murray.

The Mountaineers threatened with three minutes left in the half, but missed a 46-yard field goal attempt wide left.

With less than eight minutes to play in the third quarter, Murray orchestrated an eight-play, 68-yard touchdown drive that put the Bulldogs up 24-6. During the drive Murray rushed for 23 yards, and Bennett picked up 34 yards through the air before Gurley took the ball two yards up the middle for the score.

After an Appalachian State fumble, Mason led Georgia on a drive that ended with a 3-yard pass to Kenneth Towns for a touchdown, making it a 38-6.

Georgia added another score with 8:29 left to play when Brendan Douglas ran for a 2-yard touchdown that extended Georgia's lead to 45-6.

Blake Sims was good enough to finish his first start at quarterback for Alabama, getting plenty of help from Amari Cooper, T.J. Yeldon and Derrick Henry, and the second-ranked Crimson Tide held off West Virginia...
Blake Sims took a seat on the bench next to Jake Coker after leading Alabama to a score and the two chatted for a few minutes before it was time for the offense to go back on the field.
