LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – Police are releasing additional details about the Saturday morning crash that killed a motorcyclist.

Brandon Grigsby, 25, was pronounced dead at the scene around 7:00 Saturday morning.

According to LMPD spokesperson Alicia Smiley, LMPD's traffic unit determined the operator of the motorcycle was traveling northbound on Blue Lick Road around 5 a.m. Saturday, when he lost control on the curve, traveled into the southbound lane and struck a guardrail. He was thrown from his vehicle and landed on the pavement in the northbound lane.

Investigators believe a 2006 Hummer ran over Grigsby's body, which continued to travel about 2.5 miles with the motorcycle underneath the vehicle, until the driver pulled into an apartment complex to dislodge it.

Investigators have been in contact with the owner of the Hummer, but haven't confirmed if the owner was also the driver.

No arrest has been made. The investigation is continuing.
