Two charged in Steele Creek apartment break-in

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) -

Police in Charlotte have charged two men in connection with a Steele Creek apartment break-in.

The incident was reported on Monday at 2:18 p.m. on the 7800 block of Andover Woods Drive, according to the release from the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.

Carl Dewayne Wells, 19, and Decarlos Dejuan Brown, 23, are charged with felony breaking and entering, larceny and conspiracy.

Officers arrived to the apartment complex on Monday where a witness told them they saw they two men breaking into an apartment.

The two were located not far away with stolen property in their possession, according to the release. 

Both were taken to the Mecklenburg County Jail.
