WILLIAMSON COUNTY, IL (KFVS) -

One person is now in custody following the stabbing death of a Johnston City woman.

According to the Williamson County Sheriff's Office, the victim has been identified as Barbara Beers, 66, of Johnston City.  Her death was a result of stab wounds.

Deputies say they received a 911 call around 3:30 p.m. on Friday, November 15. The caller said when he went outside, he saw a female laying in a neighbor's yard next to the road on Mcinturf Road, south of Marion.

The sheriff's office said the caller approached the female and determined she wasn't breathing. He called an ambulance and deputies to the scene.

When the EMTs arrived, it was determined the female was deceased.

Investigators determined the victims vehicle was also missing.  They believed the suspect was driving the victim's vehicle, and that it was possibly headed to Georgia.  The car was found Saturday in Lavergne, Tenn.

The driver of the vehicle, Tamera Williams, 30, of Johnston City, Ill. was taken into custody by the Tennessee Highway Patrol.  Williams is being interviewed by Williamson County investigators at the Rutherford County Tennessee Jail.

She is being held on charges of possession of a stolen vehicle.  Williams has been charged with four counts of first degree murder in Williamson County.

The fourth count involves the charge of aggravated vehicular hijacking while committing the murder.

Williams is being held int the Rutherford Co. Jail in Tennessee. When she will return to Illinois depends on local charges she faces in Tennessee..
