POPLAR BLUFF, MO (KFVS) -

Here are some classic toys with an updated twist!

You’ve probably heard of the smart phone app Draw Something. Now there’s an interactive toy, similar to the game Pictionary.

You choose a card, draw, and guess then clear the screen and pass.

"It has little things on it, it says mermaid, charm or a barber, you put it up here, so you can face it the other way, it has letters,” said Poplar Bluff Lake Road Elementary 4th grader Triston Randl, as he explained the game.

The 4th graders said some of the words on the cards were a little difficult to draw and guess.

"Some stuff I didn't know, but if we didn't know it, we would just skip that card and get a new one," said Randl.

He said the directions were a little confusing at first.

But despite a few setbacks, the testers said overall they liked this drawing game.

"I think it could be pretty fun, it could be a game you could play with your family and probably have a pretty good time," said Randle.

The Draw Something Party game gets an A-.

You know the classic game of Twister, or maybe you’ve even seen the electronic Twister Dance. But this year’s latest could-be craze is Twister Dance Rave.

The toy claims that you can jam to Brittany Spears and Selena Gomez hit songs while aiming for the colored dots.

"I really didn't like it," said 4th grader Zaniya Davis.

The Poplar Bluff kids said the game isn’t all it lights up to be.

"It only has like four or five songs on it, and most of these songs I didn't even know,” said Davis.

It does come with a cord to plug up your iPod or MP3 player.

Davis said it was difficult at first to figure out how to set up the game and where the colored dots go.

"The dots will stick to your feet if you don't have socks on,” said Davis. “I think it should have a sticky side like you have to put tape on it or something to make it stick.”

The students seemed to have the most fun with the freestyle section of the game.

"It wasn't really fun to me because you can only play it one way and you can only have two players," said Davis.

Overall, they gave the new Twister Dance Rave the grade of a D.

The Poplar Bluff toy testers gave the newest Monopoly game, Monopoly Empire a try.

The game has towers, gold pieces, and name brand logos like Coca-Cola, EA Sports, and Ebay.

"It was a good game," said 4th grader Kamarion Norfleet.

"I liked it," said 4th grader Brandon Knighten. "You have to fill these things up on here, and if you get all the way up to here, you win."

The boys said it’s basically like the same Monopoly game you’re used to, but with updated, flashier pieces.

They give Monopoly Empire an A-.

Finally, the game Jenga mixes with Tetris for the latest spin on an older toy.

"I thought it was a lot funner than the regular Jenga," said 4th grader Joseph Magill.

The students said it was difficult to figure out how to stack the oddly shaped pieces in the beginning. But, they quickly figured it out and were ready to play.

"It was more of a challenge, like if you tried to pull out on this end and this end was hooked you would knock it down," said Magill.

"The best part of the game was it falling," said 4th grader Cheyenne Coleman.

The 4th graders gave Jenga Tetris a B+.
