MALDEN, MO (KFVS) -

A benefit was held Saturday for 7-year-old Ma'laysia Maxwell who is battling cancer.

Ma'laysia is currently at patient in Children's Hospital in St. Louis getting a bone marrow transplant.

The benefit was held in Malden at the American Legion.

There were bands, fish and chicken plates and raffles held to raise money for her treatment.

Ma'laysia has been diagnosed with stage 4 Neuroblastoma cancer. She will be in the hospital for six weeks.

She is the daughter of Tosha Maxwell and Devon Farmer.

She attends Malden Elementary and is in the 2nd grade.

Donations are being accepted at the First Community Bank of Malden.
