TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

We've been working with the U.S. Marshals Service since the crack of dawn this morning.

Thanks to your tips into 88-CRIME, nine wanted suspects are off the streets tonight.

Considering the fact Pima County has at least 4,000 active felony warrants today, just choosing who to go after is a job in itself.

We asked police: "We've got an armed robbery, aggravated robbery, deadly weapons - this is another classic example of somebody who appears to be a dangerous guy?"

"Correct, this is Manuel Ricardo Morales," Det. James Shultz with TPD said.

Authorities couldn't track down Morales on this day, but they did catch five suspects wanted on federal warrants.

Unfortunately, we can't show you their names or faces because the U.S. Attorney hasn't approved it yet.

But two of the suspects pictured in this story were brought in on local warrants today.

A third local suspect gave himself up last night once he realized he made the Tucson's Most Wanted list.

"No, that doesn't surprise me," said Daniel Leyva with the U.S. Marshals Service. "The media and 88-CRIME are able to help us by putting the information out to the public."

"We're very appreciative on the information that comes in," he said.

Information, in many cases, that leads to arrests.

Since 1980, tips into 88-CRIME have resulted in more than 4,500 arrests and the recovery of at least $120 million in property.

The folks at 88-CRIME would sure like to keep it this way.

"Just keep calling. That's the thing," 88-CRIME Director Susie Dupnik said. "Just call us with the tips so we can give it to the police."
