Court documents reveal new details in child abuse case

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Newly released court documents reveal disturbing information in the ongoing investigation of a midtown child abuse case.

The interim complaint includes a statement of probable cause, which police said helps indicate allegations and why police are holding the suspects in custody.

Disturbing details were released in the complaint. The girls told detectives they were beaten and whipped. In the home, police found wooden hangers sticks and wires, which the girls told police they were beaten with, according to the interim complaint.

The girls said they were struck until they bled on their buttocks and back. They were forced to drink out of old, dirty jugs that were filled with bathtub water. According to the report, police found old jugs with mold inside them inside the house during their investigation. The report stated when the girls wanted to use the bathroom, they would put on a black cap and raise their hand to signal to their mother and stepfather, who were watching through surveillance cameras. The girls were given a short amount of time to use the bathroom.
