MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -

if there was ever a story about the power of social media, this is it. We found out about it from a posting on the WSFA Facebook page. People have started to change their profile picture to that of little Maddie.

Wednesday night a Montgomery church used the power of prayer to help in her healing.

Pastor Brian Pleasant led members of his flock in prayer for a little girl most of them don't even know, and like many others who want to help Madyson Landrum, they met at the ICrave Fellowship Church on the Southern Blvd. to ask for a Thanksgiving miracle.

Madyson has kidney cancer and, using the fellowship of Facebook, her mother has put the word out for help.

Families, many with healthy children, are using their Thanksgiving eve asking for that gift for Maddie's family.

Donations are being accepted at any WELLS FARGO bank branch.
