Hoover Police release more details in Saturday night's Ironbowl party shooting

HOOVER, AL (WBRC) -

Hoover Police released more details Sunday on a fatal shooting during an Iron Bowl party Saturday night.  Police were called out around 7 p.m. to Summerchase at Riverchase apartments on a shooting.

Two females attending the party got into a verbal argument after the game. The  argument moved outside to the parking lot and escalated into a physical fight.

The suspect then shot the victim with a small caliber handgun. The victim was pronounced dead on the scene.   

Police say the suspect and victim did not know each other.  The supect was taken into custody.  The case remains under investigation.
