MIDLOTHIAN, VA (WWBT) -

A man is under arrest after a late night pursuit on Midlothian Turnpike.

It started around 9:30 p.m. Monday in the 7500 block of Midlothian Turnpike. Police say the suspect, Fabian Dixon, 28, left a convenience store in a stolen 2014 Toyota Tundra truck. Police followed the suspect at low speeds until he turned into the old Kmart parking lot.

Police say the suspect bailed out of the truck and ran into the woods, where he was later caught. The truck struck a police vehicle after the suspect bailed out. No one was injured.

Police are charging Dixon with eluding police, endanger persons or police car; resisting arrest; destruction of property of value greater than $1000, driving while suspended or revoked license and grand larceny.
