Former bank employee admits to stealing $580K

MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -

A former bank employee has pleaded guilty in federal court to stealing more than half a million dollars from First Tuskegee Bank.

According to the U.S. Attorney for the Middle District of Alabama, Christopher Todd Jones, 30, of Montgomery, pleaded guilty to stealing $580,000 using fake credit card accounts.

Jones is facing up to 30 years in prison, up to a $1,000,000 fine and up to five years of supervised released.
