JASPER, IN (WFIE) -

The Jasper Police Department continues to investigate the fraudulent use of a credit card at the Jasper Kmart on December 8.

Detectives say a total of almost $1500 worth of merchandise was fraudulently purchased at Kmart by a white woman, 25-30 years old, 5'4" to 5'6" tall, brown hair and weighing approximately 200 pounds.

The woman also had an infant with her at the time of the crime.

Police say the same woman tried to obtain merchandise in Henderson and Louisville using the same credit card.

Another woman was with the suspect and is now also considered a suspect in this matter. The second female used the same fraudulent credit card at the Sunoco Station in Ferdinand.

"The first part of the investigation, where we'd seen the video footage from Kmart, we weren't sure if she was an unknowing friend. But with her going into the Sunoco station at Ferdinand, using the same card, we're pretty sure that she's in on this scam, too," said Rick Chamber with Jasper police.

Police don't believe the suspects live in Dubois County. If you have any information involving this theft, call police.
