Chesterfield Police searching for bank robbery suspect

Chesterfield Police are currently searching for a man who robbed a Chester-area bank late Saturday morning.

The robbery happened just before 10:00 a.m. at a Bank of Virginia in the 4000 block of W. Hundred Road.

Investigators said the suspect approached a teller and passed a note demanding money. The suspect then fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

No one was hurt during the robbery.

The suspect is described as a white male, between 20 and 30-years-old. Police said the man is approximately 6 feet tall and was last seen wearing sunglasses, blue jeans, a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt, and a bandana over part of his face.
