JOHNSON CITY, TN (WJHL) - A recent holiday shopping spree has the attention of Johnson City Police.

On December 4, a man broke into two lockers at the Lifestyles Gym on Marketplace Boulevard.

Police say he stole cash and credit cards and then hit the stores looking for electronics.

"The suspect went to Target and Wal-Mart in Johnson City and purchased over $600 worth of merchandise at both stores," said Steve Sherfey, Johnson City Police.  "The suspect then went to Kingsport and used the card several times."

If you recognize the man in the surveillance video, call 423-434-6158.

According to the Federal Trade Commission, "Scammers use cameras, keypad overlays, and skimming devices - like a realistic-looking card reader placed over the factory-installed card reader on an ATM or gas pump - to capture the information from your card's magnetic strip without your knowledge and get your PIN."
