Fournette verbally commits to LSU on a tough day for the Tigers

St. Petersburg, FL (WAFB) -

LSU started the new year with a 21-14 win over Iowa in the Outback Bowl. A day later, the Tigers were hoping to reel in four to five major high school stars, it did not happen.

The first announcement from the UA All-American Game came from Speedy Noil. The wide receiver verbally committed to Texas A&M over LSU.

Next up, safety Jamal Adams. The safety verbally committed to LSU over Florida.

LSU's next target Gerald Willis III, brother of Alabama safety Landon Collins, announced that he will be playing his college football at Florida.

In the fourth quarter more disappointment for LSU as Tony Brown announced his verbal commitment to Alabama.

The final and highest rated recruiting target, Leonard Fournette may have saved the day when he verbally committed to LSU!
