SPRINGFIELD, MA (WSHM) -

Springfield police are asking for the public's help in a rash of break-ins in the neighborhood near Bay Street and Roosevelt Avenue.

Police are searching for the person who broke into a Haskin Street home on Christmas Eve and stole an Xbox, laptop and several other items.

Images of the suspect were captured on a home surveillance system.

The break-ins are mostly occurring at dusk and police say the person in the photos may be responsible for all of them.

They are asking people in that neighborhood to stay alert and keep an eye out for suspicious people.

New federal regulations have changed what many kids who attend public schools eat for lunch at school. However, some area private schools don't have to follow those rules and have come up with their own new school lunch program.
