CHESTERFIELD, VA (WWBT) -

Chesterfield crews are battling a fire at a barn off of Iron Bridge Road.

Crews were called to the barn in the 5700 block of Kingsland Road around 10 a.m. When they arrived, they found the barn engulfed in flames. The barn is 40 feet by 40 feet and filled with hay.

Chesterfield had to call Richmond Fire crews in for assistance. A Richmond tanker aided three Chesterfield tanker trucks to carry in water to the scene, as there are no hydrants in the area.

Right now, there's no indication of the cause of the fire. Crews expect to be on the scene for several more hours, as the hay is difficult to extinguish.

No animals on the farm appear to be injured.
