Miners long- time player and coach leaving team

Long-time Miners hitting coach and former All-Star 2nd baseman Ralph Santana is taking a leave from his professional career to focus on his current work with Doc Z's SportsAcademy in Duquoin.
For seven seasons, Santana has been part of the Miners as a player and a Coach.
In the teams first year year of existence in 2007, Santanta set the team record in hits with 126 which was broke this past season by Carlos Mendez.
Santana coached under Manager Mike Pinto from 2008 through 2013.
