LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

Three family members are dead after a major accident at the intersection of 19th & Alcove near the Antique Mall of Lubbock.

The driver of the 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee Jesse Maldonado, 29, Erica Ysasaga, 27 and Jocelyn Maldonado, 3, have all been killed. Priscilla Maldonado, 7, was ejected from the vehicle and rushed to University Medical Center with serious injuries. 

According to a police report, only Ysasaga was wearing a seatbelt.

Police say Maldonado was traveling west on 19th Street when he struck a large dog in the roadway and swerved into oncoming traffic headed east.

The Jeep struck a 2001 Ford pickup. The driver in the truck suffered moderate injuries.

The accident happened around 9 p.m. Friday night.

This is the second fatal accident on Lubbock streets within 24 hours.
