FITCHBURG (WSHM) -

The Massachusetts State Police and Fitchburg Police have ended an AMBER Alert, as 6-year-old Alize Whipple and her non-custodial mother Leeanna Wilson have been found.

State police told CBS 3 that the mother and child were in custody and unharmed.

Whipple was last seen on Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2014 at approximately 4 p.m.

It is believed that Wilson and Whipple were on their way to South Carolina.

Published reports on Saturday said the two were found by police in North Carolina.

State police thanked the public for keeping an eye out for the two and said any more information will be released by the Worcester County District Attorney's Office.
