SPRINGFIELD, MA (WSHM) -

Firefighters were called into action at about 2 p.m. on Sunday after a truck caught fire at a house on Forest Street.

The fire then spread to the house.

Dennis Leger, aide to Fire Commissioner Joseph Conant, told CBS 3 that the truck is totaled and the house suffered $60,000 in damage.

Leger said the fire started due to electro-mechanical failure in the truck and it is not considered suspicious.

The two adults and three children who live in the home all got out OK.

They are being assisted by the Red Cross.

Leger said there were no injuries.
