Surgery is scheduled for Tuesday for an Evansville woman needing a new kidney. 14 News shared her story back in August when her family found a donor through Facebook.

Ellen Zeabart is wrapping up one of her last dialysis treatments at Jewish Hospital in Louisville.

Her daughter says both Ellen and her kidney donor, Ashley Collignon, are doing well and are ready for Tuesday.

Ellen was diagnosed with polycistic kidney disease more than 30 years ago. Last year, her daughter, Anna Adcock, started a Facebook page to find a living donor for her mom.

Her friend, Ashley, saw that post and answered the call.

Some recent health issues for Ellen delayed the transplant for months, but Anna says her mom and Ashley are both set for surgery.

"I can't even explain it. It's just amazing. It's been a great journey and we're all really excited for tomorrow. I'm sure the nerves will be kicking in tonight and then more-so tomorrow. But, my family will be here tomorrow, so everyone will be here tomorrow to support my mom and Ashley," Anna shares.

You can follow along with the progress by liking Ellen's page on Facebook.
