WAIKIKI (HawaiiNewsNow) -

The world's most renowned bounty hunter, Duane "Dog" Chapman, celebrated his 61st birthday Thursday night with more than 150 friends and family.

The big birthday bash was held at the Royal Hawaiian Hotel in Waikiki and was filmed for the Chapmans' show, Dog and Beth: On the Hunt.

Dog's birthday party was planned by his wife, Beth, with the theme "Denim & Diamonds."

Chapman says he has no plans on slowing down anytime soon and also talked about his love for Hawaii, "I am very lucky and very proud to be able to live in Hawaii. As I go across the United States there's a lot of beautiful places in America but the safest and the most beautiful and the most loved is where I will find my final resting place is Hawaii."

Country star Chris Janson performed during the main program inside the ballroom. Tony Silva served as emcee, and Grammy-nominated Hawaiian swing band Kahulanui performed during the 'cocktail hour.'

"When you do the kind of work we do, which can get pretty dangerous at times, we celebrate every birthday in a big way, surrounded by the friends and family we love.  I felt it was important to have this party at home, and bring some business back to Hawaii," said Beth Chapman.

Dog and Beth: On the Hunt has been renewed for 11 one-hour episodes which are expected to air on CMT in the second quarter of 2014.
