Police are asking for the public's help in finding a man who used a woman's credit card just minutes after stealing it from her car.

The mother stopped Feb. 6 to get her child from daycare at a local church. While she was inside, someone forced their way into her car and stole her purse, Detective Neal Harris said in an email Thursday.

Police say the suspect was caught on surveillance video just minutes later at a gas station on Dickerson Road.

The middle-aged man used the woman's card and was driving a newer silver Toyota Corolla, Harris said.

Anyone with information can call Hendersonville police at 615-822-1111 or the Hendersonville Crime Stoppers at 615-573-5400.
