MUHLENBERG CO., KY (WFIE) -

The Muhlenberg County community is ready to wrap its arms around Chad and Kylie Watson.

Chad was released from the Nashville hospital earlier in the week, but daughter, Kylie, will be heading home on Saturday.

The community is teaming up with family and friends to give them a big homecoming.

"To see them come so far so quick is very uplifting for the community," says Greenville Police Chief Darren Harvey.

Family, friends, and law enforcement will be gathering with posters and balloons to honor the Watsons. Chad and Kylie are the two survivors of the Muhlenberg house fire that killed Kylie's mother and her eight siblings.

"I've heard so many people not just talk about, but cry, and show a great deal of emotion because of the strength that this family has actually showed toward the community and each other," Harvey says.

The family is asking everyone who plans to attend the parade to meet at the Muhlenberg County High School West Campus at 2:30 p.m. You are encouraged to wear your 'Watson Strong' T-shirt, or if you don't have one of those, the color purple.
