GULFPORT, MS (WLOX) -

Year three promises to be the biggest and the best Gulfport Music Festival yet, and Friday morning we learned who the headliners will be. This year's line up of artists like Kid Rock, Ludacris, the Ying Yang Twins and Third Eye Blind, have officials hoping to attract a lot of business to downtown Gulfport.

Owner of Murky Waters BBQ Brandon Atwell said he's ready for what the big event will bring.

"With the high profile of the bands, we're expecting to draw not just with the locals, but to draw from out of state tourists. That's who we really want to showcase our downtown area to," Atwell said.

And with the city continuing to rebuild, Gulfport Public Information Officer Chris Vignes is hoping a lot of folks will see what the Gulf Coast has to offer.

"It's incredible. It's the largest event on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, and it gets to showcase what we all have to offer," Vignes said.

Restaurants, too, hope to get tourists' business.

"After the rebuilding of Katrina and the BP spills, we are open for business and we have a lot to offer in terms of our food and culture," Atwell said.

And from the traffic from social media sites, everyone's thrilled and ready to have a good time.

"It's a huge party. There are going to be people, families. Everybody can get to come in and enjoy the restaurants. It's just going to be a great event," Vignes said.

"It's kind of a family down here. We kind of feed off of each other. You come eat here, you go listen to music here, you go have drinks here. The cliental we get like to hop around to each one and see that each bar has their own flavor," said Atwell.

And they say this is an event, you don't want to miss.

No single day tickets will be sold. A general admission weekend pass will allow unlimited entry and re-entry before 6pm each day; No re-entry after 6pm. Early Bird passes sell for $75, plus tax and fees.

The VIP weekend passes are $279, plus tax and fees. VIP admission will include unlimited entry and re-entry to the festival at any time, admission to the VIP viewing area near the stage, free food, soft drinks, and domestic beer in the VIP Tent and use of air-conditioned restroom facilities, as well as a commemorative Gulfport Music Festival T-shirt.

Tickets go on sale February 21. The music fest will be May 9 and 10.
