NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Police say a man was allegedly making meth and burning the materials in his backyard.

Police arrested Mavis Mayo Tuesday night after knocking on his door during a meth investigation.

They say Mayo admitted to cooking meth on seven different occasions in the trailer outside his house.

Police found a burned out barrel with parts of charred meth materials still inside.

Mayo is facing a felony drug charge. He also has an open case against him for driving on a suspended license.
