BATON ROUGE, LA (RNN) - LSU took care of business at home on Wednesday night, leading the entire time in its 92-81 rout of Mississippi State.

The Tigers (16-9, 7-6 SEC) made 30 of their 59 field goals (50.8 percent), nine of their 21 3-pointers (42.9 percent) and 23 of their 29 free throws (79.3 percent). The Bulldogs (13-13, 3-10) made half of their 52 field goals, 26 of their 36 free throws (72.2 percent) and three of only eight 3-pointers (37.5 percent).

Jarell Martin led LSU with 20 points and eight rebounds while Jordan Mickey added 19 points. Shavon Coleman added 18, Andre Stringer scored 14 and Anthony Hickey had 13 points.

Mississippi State's Craig Sword had a good night despite the loss, scoring a career-high and game-high 33 points while also leading with three assists, three steals and one block.

The Tigers hit the road to play No. 18 Kentucky on Saturday at 4 p.m. ET. Meanwhile, the Bulldogs will return home to host Arkansas on Saturday at 4 p.m. ET.
