SOUTH EUCLID, OH (WOIO) -

The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner has identified the 16-year-old victim of a one-car accident in South Euclid on Saturday.

The victim, Karly Ciuprinskas, was one of two passengers hurt in the accident along with the driver of the vehicle.

According to Sergeant Joe Mays the accident happened around 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 1.

Sgt. Mays reports that the Pontiac Grand Am was traveling eastbound on Telhurst Road near South Green Road when the driver lost control and hit a tree and then a telephone pole.

Karly is said to have died instantly.

The two other teens in the vehicle were transported to a local hospital with unknown injuries.

All three teens are from South Euclid.

Karly was a junior at Brush High School.

It is unclear at this time if drugs or alcohol played a role in the deadly crash.

The South Euclid Police traffic commissioner is investigating the incident and has not ruled out any causes.
