Chris McGill puts the Stufz burger maker to the test

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A product promises to make awesome stuffed hamburgers, but does it work? We decided to try the Stufz American Stuffed Burger Maker to Krazy Dave's in Bon Air to try it out.

After getting the burger ready to make patties we were ready to go.

That's where we first ran into trouble. Depending on the size of the burger balls it took a little muscle to push the meat down far enough to create the cavity needed to put your stuffing in. It took several tries, but finally we got the hang of it.

Next it was time to load up the middle of the burger. We used mushrooms, cheese and some onions. Then came time to add the top of the burger. The outcome turned out to be fairly what it should be, not pretty, but it would work.

After that it was time to take it to the fryer.

Once the burgers were done we sliced them in half to see how well the stuffed burger maker did. They looked good, and tasted even better.

All-in-all the Stufz American Stuffed Burger Maker didn't do a bad job. Keep in mind it's probably going to take you a little while to get used to. It took a while before we actually got a decent looking burger, but for $10 it's fun for the whole family and not a bad buy.
