NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Police say a man arrested on drug charges on Monday has now been linked to a shooting death that happened in August.

Officials went to the home of Tre Desean Bell on Rice Road to execute a search warrant and say a large bag of marijuana was found on the kitchen table and five smaller bags of marijuana were found in a kitchen drawer.

Both 21-year-old Tre Bell and his brother, 22-year-old Greg Bell, were arrested on felony marijuana possession charges.

While police were interviewing Tre Bell, they say he admitted to shooting 30-year-old Delano Blair.

Blair was shot on Aug. 2 on the 3300 block of Moorewood Drive. Police say Blair, who was a convicted felon, was carrying a loaded pistol in his pocket and had marijuana packaged for resale in his backpack at the time of the shooting.

Tre Bell is charged with criminal homicide and is being held without bond, pending a hearing. Greg Bell's bond was set at $6,000.
