I-65 reopens after injury crash near Millersville

Posted: Updated: March 11, 2014 06:03 PM

All lanes of Interstate 65 have reopened following a serious crash Tuesday afternoon near Millersville.

The crash was reported before 3 p.m. near mile marker 103 in Sumner County.

The crash involved at least one passenger vehicle and a tractor trailer in the southbound lanes, and the Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating.

Southbound lanes were closed until about 6 p.m., and the backup spanned about eight miles. Northbound lanes were briefly closed so two Life Flight helicopters could land, and rubbernecking continued the delays.

Further information on the crash have not been released.
