Brunswick County man sentenced on human trafficking charge

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WECT) - A man from Brunswick County will spend at least six and a half years in the Department of Corrections after pleading guilty to human trafficking of a minor.

Shawn Christopher Conley entered the plea Monday in Superior Court. He and Kyle Wolfe were arrested nearly a year ago.  You can read about that coverage here: http://bit.ly/1nyM8eh.

The investigation took place between November 2012 and January 2013 in the Boiling Spring Lakes area, according to authorities. 

Conley received a sentence of between 80 months and 108 months.

Charges against Wolfe are still pending.
