CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) -

Four people were taken to the hospital after an accident involving a school bus Tuesday, according to Medic.

The wreck happened around 2:30 p.m. near the intersection of Summit Avenue and Mint Street in Uptown Charlotte.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg School officials said the bus, number 1305, was transporting students from Performance Learning Center.

Medic told WBTV that three patients were taken to Carolinas Medical Center-Main, and that one patient was taken to Novant Presbyterian Hospital after the crash.

School officials said three of those injured were students, and the fourth was the bus driver.

All four are expected to be okay.

Officials have not what caused the crash, or if any charges are being filed.
