Judge Joe Brown endorses county commission candidate

MEMPHIS, TN -
(WMC-TV) - Judge Joe Brown made an appearance on Saturday at Southbrook Mall today to endorse a Shelby County Commission candidate.

This comes just a day after all 10 criminal court judges recused themselves from Brown's contempt-of-court case. They all cited Brown's former role as a local judge. He was set for court on April 4, but it has been postponed until the state Supreme Court can find another judge.

"Let's say that they're d*** fools to fall enough for it, then it wasn't much of a stunt," said Brown when asked if Monday's outburst was a stunt.

The judges said they recused themselves from the case because of a perceived impropriety. Brown was at Southbrook Mall to endorse Shelby County Commission candidate Patrice Robinson and the opening her campaign headquarters.
