HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

Sci-Quest will host NanoDays, a community-based outreach effort on nanoscale informal science education, on April 5.

Starting at 10 a.m., visitors of all ages will be able to explore capillary action, non-Newtonion fluids and new nano products and materials, as well as imagine what society would be like if we all wore invisibility cloaks. Other activities include making a nickel look like a penny using electricity and a program about Robots & People. The event will end at 2 p.m.

NanoDays is part of a nationwide festival of education programs concerning nanoscale science and engineering. The activities are included in general admission into Sci-Quest, and will be held at the new location at 1435 Paramount Drive.

The program is organized by the Nanoscale Informal Science Education Network (NISE Net) and is held nationwide from March 29 to April 6.
