LSU adds UCLA and Arizona St. to future schedules

Posted: Updated:
Baton Rouge, LA (LSU) -

LSU and UCLA have agreed to a home-and-home series starting in 2021 in the Rose Bowl.

LSU will face UCLA in Pasadena, California, at the historic Rose Bowl on Sept. 4, 2021. The Bruins will make the return trip to Tiger Stadium on Aug. 31, 2024.

Athletic Director Joe Alleva also announced that LSU and Arizona State will play in back-to-back years in 2022 and 2023.

LSU will travel to Tempe for a game against the Sun Devils on Sept. 10, 2022, with the return trip to Baton Rouge slated for Sept. 9, 2023.

"It's our goal to play as an attractive non-conference schedule as possible," Alleva said. "Getting teams to agree to a home-and-home series is very difficult but we will continue to make every attempt to bring a BCS-conference caliber opponent to Tiger Stadium.

LSU opens the 2014 schedule against Wisconsin at Reliant Stadium in Houston with a return trip to Green Bay's Lambeau Field scheduled for the season opener in 2016.

LSU is also scheduled to play Syracuse in a home-and-home series in 2015 and 2017.

Blake Sims was good enough to finish his first start at quarterback for Alabama, getting plenty of help from Amari Cooper, T.J. Yeldon and Derrick Henry, and the second-ranked Crimson Tide held off West Virginia...
Blake Sims took a seat on the bench next to Jake Coker after leading Alabama to a score and the two chatted for a few minutes before it was time for the offense to go back on the field.
