TEXARKANA, AR (KSLA) -

A Texarkana, AR school bus driver is in the spotlight after swerving around cars and driving down the wrong lane.

A YouTube video of the driver is getting a lot of clicks. It's called: "Crazy School Bus Driver Caught by a security camera at the Intersection of East 35th and Jefferson in Texarkana Arkansas," and it shows the bus crossing the center line going around a car while approaching the intersection.

The driver, whom school officials say they have identified, was apparently trying to beat the traffic signal.

"By no means this is not standard procedure and this is not how our drivers are expected to drive," said Genia Bullock, spokesman for the Texarkana Arkansas School District.

School officials said they have handled the issue, declining to say more because it is a personnel matter.

New federal regulations have changed what many kids who attend public schools eat for lunch at school. However, some area private schools don't have to follow those rules and have come up with their own new school lunch program.
