Accused burglar wore nothing but a cowboy hat

Posted: Updated:

A burglar wearing nothing but a cowboy hat in Fulton County was caught on surveillance video from the home of a John's Creek City Councilwoman this week.

The guy broke in and came face to face with her teenage daughter.

Officials said he ran away down the street when she screamed, and broke into Bob Johnson's home. There he listened to some Elvis on a vintage jukebox and watched some TV.

"He sat in the chair," said Johnson. "He likes the Braves, so he went and had a good time watching the Braves, drinking beer."

The suspect, 21 year old Ashdon Gibbs, was later caught nearby wearing some of Johnson's clothes.

When police arrested him, he said he was a U.S. Marshal.
